How can international cooperation help make education more accessible, support professional development and strengthen Ukrainian universities? The Aurora alliance presented practical examples at the EAIE Conference and Exhibition, held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026. Palacký University Olomouc also contributed to the conference programme.
Aurora welcomed current and prospective partners to its dedicated booth and contributed to four conference sessions. Niels Hexspoor attended on behalf of both UP and the Aurora alliance. Representatives of the alliance explored inclusion, collaborative online international learning, the contribution of staff mobility to professional growth, and the role of European university alliances in supporting Ukrainian higher education institutions.
Palacký University Olomouc presented the outcomes of its cooperation with the University of Sarajevo in adapted physical activity. Jitka Králová, Head of UP’s Mobility Office, and Kemal Durić, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Sarajevo, presented a poster on an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project. Through cooperation with UP’s Faculty of Physical Culture, the project supported the development of an adapted physical activity programme in Sarajevo, including an inclusive curriculum and staff mobility opportunities. UP was also represented in Glasgow by Ivona Barešová, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Tereza Kalousková, Head of the Partnerships Office.
